Is It Really Over?!?
It was very weird to hit Monday and have nothing to post about I’d Kill For a Date. Since May 11th, we have posted a new episode or cast interview every Monday… Well, except for Monday, June 1st, where we gave space on social media to make room for the voices of Black Americans. This past Monday, July 27th was quiet.
We had nothing to post.
Nothing to say.
After spending so much time on I’d Kill For a Date there was just nothing left for our audience. Due to the way the interwebs work, we know that people will continue to find the story of Kat and be intrigued by the aspect of dealing with a Covid-19 lockdown and wanting to find new vic.. er, dates. We know this isn’t the end, as things on the internet don’t just disappear like bodies.
To make it easy to watch all the episodes, we’ve created a playlist of Episodes on YouTube.
We’ve done the same for our “Look at the Cast” series.
When we started this project, we had no idea that in August we’d still be dealing with a raging pandemic. In many ways, it’s worse than when we started writing. As theater performers, we miss our home stages, and had we known how long this would go on, we may have written more or, potentially, not written at all. This project was never about making money. We didn’t crowdfund production, we didn’t charge for the content, we truly wanted to entertain. If there’s any ask we can leave you with, it is to share this show with the people you know. We know it’s not perfect, but we are proud of what we put out into the world to share our love of storytelling. If you feel inclined to help, we ask that you donate to our home theatres by clicking their links below.
